Our Flagship Retreats

Our flagship retreats represent the essence of our values and passion at Your Teen Journey.

Each crafted with the evolving teen journey in mind.

There are a selection of teen-only and parent-teen retreats to explore.

The Being Together Retreat

Explore. Open. Understand.

Parent-child relationships take effort, energy, and intention—especially during the tween and teen years. We can’t ask for connection from our children without showing it ourselves. Choosing to step away from daily life and spend intentional time together sends a clear message: you matter to me.

This retreat invites both parents and tweens/teens to arrive just as they are—whether to create something new, deepen understanding, or simply celebrate the bond that already exists. It isn’t about a perfect experience; it’s about showing up. Through shared moments and meaningful time together, quiet, invisible bridges are built—bridges that speak deeply to teens, often more powerfully than words ever could.

The In-Between
Retreat

Learn more about our
Neuro-affirming retreats

Many parents notice a moment when their child starts to see themselves differently. Questions and curiosity can arise. Old experiences take on new meaning. Your teen or emerging adult may be beginning to recognize their neurodivergence.

The In-Between Retreat is designed to support young people during this early and emerging stage of neurodivergent self-understanding, with care, compassion, and affirmation.

This is not a diagnostic program or a corrective intervention. It is a neuro-affirming space that honours the exploration of our unique differences, supports self-knowledge, and helps young people feel safe in who they are becoming.

Acknowledge. Explore. Be.

The REST(ed.)
Retreat

Learn. Allow. Honour.

In a world that constantly asks teens to do more and move faster, learning to pause is essential. Rest supports focus, movement, emotional regulation, and creativity—when the nervous system settles, performance and clarity naturally improve.

This rest education retreat invites emerging adults to slow down, drop expectations, and reconnect with their own inner knowing. Through nervous system awareness and body-based practices, participants rediscover what ease actually feels like—on their own terms.

By honouring stillness as much as action, the retreat reframes rest as wisdom, not weakness, empowering teens to trust their bodies and build a more balanced, sustainable relationship with effort and creativity.

Retreat

Teen growth retreats

Transition. Trust. Become.

Stepping out of school and into the wider world—whether to university, a new city, or independent living—is a monumental shift. For neurodivergent emerging adults, leaving the familiar structure of home can stir a complex mix of excitement and uncertainty.

This rites of passage retreat is a dedicated space to honor that crossover. We move beyond standard preparation to focus on the emotional and practical readiness required for this next great adventure. It is about bridging the gap between who they have been and the independent adult they are becoming.

By marking this moment with intention, we help participants claim this transition on their own terms. We focus on building self-leadership, resilience, and the deep-seated belief that their unique neurotype is a strength to carry forward into their future.

Crafted for teen journeys

All retreats are encompassed around these being a ‘journey’. There is no ‘fixing’ or significant moment of ‘completion’. A journey on one of our retreats can compliment a longer-term existing support/counselling that may be already in place or be a catalyst for ongoing support & coaching. Our retreats acknowledge the journey of connecting to ourselves and to others to bring about growth, development and real purpose. Our one and two-night retreats can help provide a supportive alternative to longer-term approaches and help manifest real intentional change.  For some families, the retreat style can offer a real practical and viable alternative to connect to needs that really matter to them.
